In his new role, Luis assumes primary responsibility for coverage of financial institutions in Southern Europe, while actively developing MUFG's business in this market. Luis is based in London and reports directly to Lenin Duenas, co-head of financial institutions, EMEA.

Luis brings with him a wealth of experience, joining from Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was head of financial institutions coverage for Spain and Portugal. Luis has worked extensively in the Iberian markets and has a long track record in business origination spanning investments, structured financing, debt and equity capital markets.

He previously held roles at ABN AMRO as a FIG banker and in the global banking division of Deutsche Bank.
