MUFG announces the appointment of Julian van Kan as Head of Financial Institutions Coverage for EMEA.
Julian will lead the EMEA FI Coverage team in providing financial solutions to MUFG's FI clients, including banks as well as insurance companies, asset managers and funds. He will be an integral part of the bank's growing client franchise in EMEA, as well as continuing to deepen existing relationships.
Julian joins MUFG from a 20-year career at BNP Paribas where he has held various positions within Financial Institutions coverage and more recently head of Banks & Intermediaries, Asia Pacific Region. Prior to his FIC coverage role, he was Global Head of their Loan Syndications & Trading activity. He has more than 30 years of experience in Corporate and Institutional banking across multiple continents and activities, having worked for the former National Westminster Bank, Swiss Bank Corporation and Fuji Bank.

Julian starts at MUFG in August and will be based in London, reporting into Sébastien Rozès, Head of Corporate Banking, EMEA and Mark Doctoroff Global Co-head of FI Coverage.
