MUFG today announces a number of management changes across its project finance franchise following Phillip Hall's promotion to Head of Structured Finance Office for EMEA in April.
The management changes are:
- Robert Bartlett has been promoted to Head of Infrastructure
- Stephen Jennings has been promoted to Head of Energy and Natural Resources
- Rishi Nihalani has been promoted to Head of Advisory
- Paul Suckling has been promoted to Head of Portfolio and Asset Management
- Christophe Maurat has been promoted to Head of Natural Resources
In addition to the above, Carol Gould, currently Head of Power and Renewables has been given an expanded role, working more closely with MUFG's Corporate Banking division and clients utilising her renowned experience in the Renewables and Green sectors. MUFG has become a leading player in the sector, growing from a niche area, with a limited number of lenders involved, to a mainstream sector with many banks now participating in the large project financings required for offshore wind projects.
Phillip Hall, Head of Structured Finance Office for EMEA, said:
“We are delighted to make these appointments and recognise the six executives for the commitment they have shown in helping MUFG to build an industry-leading project finance business.
For clients in EMEA seeking to innovate and grow their businesses, having a committed financial partner whom they can rely upon for arranging their funding with the full suite of associated services is vital.
I am confident that Carol, Christophe, Paul, Rishi, Robert and Stephen will further bolster MUFG's offering, enabling us to fully support our clients in all of their endeavours."
