Ayse Zadil will be responsible for business development and new client relationships in Turkey, as well as leading the Group's expansion strategy in the country.

Ayse joined in April 2016 from JPMorgan Chase, where she was a Managing Director in Turkey and where she established a successful corporate banking platform.

She is based in Istanbul and reports to Yasuo Asada, President of MUFG Turkey. She will work closely with Sébastien Rozès Head of Corporate Banking for EMEA.

Yasuo Asada commented:

“Turkey has been a strategically important location for MUFG over the past three years, since we became the first wholly owned Japanese bank to operate in the region. Ayse's hire is a reflection of our continued desire to developing and deepening our relationships with Turkish clients".

Sébastien Rozès said:

“We are delighted to welcome Ayse to MUFG. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both corporate banking and Turkey, and will significantly accelerate our growth plans in this key market."

Prior to her career at JPMorgan Chase, Ayse spent more than a decade at Citibank in Istanbul. Her latter three years at Citibank were spent as a unit head with a focus on project and trade finance for top Turkish corporates in the energy sector. Ayse holds an MBA from Cornell University in New York.
