MUFG EMEA today announces that it will be a sponsor of The Grand Sumo Tournament taking place at the Royal Albert Hall in London, UK, later this year.

The tournament, which will run from 15 – 19 October 2025, marks the first time in over 30 years that Sumo wrestling comes to the UK. It's also only the second time in the sport's 1500-year history that a five-day basho (tournament) is being held outside of Japan.

MUFG's sponsorship of The Grand Sumo Tournament celebrates Japanese tradition, discipline and cultural identity while bringing one of the world's oldest sports to a global audience.
