MUFG EMEA today announces the appointment of Laura Edgerton as Head of Global Subsidiary Banking, EMEA & Americas.
In this newly created role, Laura will oversee further collaboration and drive the growth of MUFG's Global Subsidiary Banking (GSB) network business on both sides of the Atlantic. MUFG's new regional GSB leadership structure will build stronger connectivity between its EMEA and Americas portfolios and further develop the bank's global platform.
Laura has over 18 years' experience in banking, senior client relationship management (including GSB) and Head of Strategy roles, including 15 years working at MUFG in EMEA, Americas and Asia Pacific. Her most recent role was as Managing Director, Head of Global Corporate Investment Banking (GCIB) Cross Regional Strategy, EMEA and Americas, where she helped to align the GCIB strategy across EMEA and Americas to deliver MUFG's global capabilities for its clients across businesses.
Laura is based in London and in her new role reports locally to Holly Villiers, Deputy Head of GCIB, EMEA, and from an Americas perspective to Bill Davidson, Head of Corporate Banking Client Coverage and Head of Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) Banking in the Americas. From a functional GSB perspective she will report to Manoj Bhatia, Global Head of GSB.
GSB is a specialised form of corporate banking coverage which provides seamless connectivity to clients across multiple global jurisdictions to help them better manage the finances of their overseas branches and local operations from their main head office and regional treasury centres.
