MUFG has today announced the appointment of Marije Elkenbracht as Chief Risk Officer for MUFG Bank Europe N.V.. Marije will lead the MUFG Bank Europe Risk and Compliance teams, with a focus on alignment and support for the function across EMEA.
Marije brings more than 25 years' experience in an international financial services environment including leadership roles at NIBC, ABN Amro and NatWest. She joins MUFG from NatWest Markets N.V., where she held the role of Chief Risk Officer since 2019 and also oversaw all financial and non-financial risks and compliance.
Marije will report into Nicola Wickes, Chief Risk Officer for MUFG EMEA and Harm Bots, President of MUFG Bank Europe. She will sit on the Management Board for MUFG Bank Europe.
