MUFG today announces the appointment of Gary Finkelstein as Managing Director, Global Financial Solutions, EMEA, within its Global Financial Solutions business. Gary will be responsible for expanding MUFG's financing offering to the insurance sector across EMEA, supporting clients with a range of structured finance and secured lending solutions for insurers both as a provider and consumer of capital.
With the introduction of this role, MUFG will focus on broadening support for insurers as they seek high‑quality, capital‑efficient investment opportunities for balance sheet deployment. Working within the wider Global Financial and Structured Solutions teams, Gary will help deliver tailored financing solutions that enable clients to meet their strategic objectives, manage risk and enhance returns.
With over two decades of experience in insurance and reinsurance advisory and structured finance, Gary brings deep sector expertise and a strong track record in helping insurers optimise their balance sheets, deploy capital efficiently and meet evolving regulatory and investment requirements. He joins MUFG from WTW's Insurance Consulting and Technology practice, where he focused on the firm's capital advisory, pension risk transfer and reinsurance services.
Gary, who will be based in London, will report regionally into Alex Pierre and internationally into Terry McKay, international co-heads of Global Structured Solutions.
